Athletics & Physical Education

Helping students grow in strength, discipline, teamwork, confidence, joy, and healthy habits through supervised physical activity.

At Kingdoms Temple International Orphanage Mission & School, athletics and physical education are an important part of whole-child development. We believe students need opportunities to move, play, exercise, cooperate, and build healthy habits.

Physical activity helps students develop confidence, discipline, coordination, teamwork, respect, and self-control. At KTI, athletics is not only about competition. It is also about character, participation, wellness, and joy.

Our motto is: “Fostering the growth of the whole person in faith, academic excellence, and service.”

Training with Purpose

“Whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men.”

Colossians 3:23

Our Athletics Approach

Fitness & Movement

Students participate in age-appropriate physical activities that promote strength, balance, coordination, endurance, and healthy movement.

Teamwork

Group games and team activities help students learn cooperation, communication, patience, encouragement, and respect for others.

Discipline

Students learn to follow instructions, respect rules, control behavior, practice safety, and show good sportsmanship.

Confidence

Physical activity helps students build courage, self-confidence, resilience, and willingness to try new skills.

Participation

Our athletics program encourages every child to participate, regardless of ability, while growing at his or her own level.

Christian Character

Students are reminded to play fairly, speak kindly, respect opponents, honor teachers, and glorify God through their conduct.

Physical Education at KTI

Physical Education helps children develop both body and character. Through supervised movement, stretching, games, drills, and team activities, students learn how to care for their bodies and relate well with others.

KTI’s P.E. activities are planned to be safe, structured, inclusive, and age-appropriate for K1 through Grade 6.

K1–K2

Simple movement, stretching, balance, line games, listening games, running, jumping, coordination, and guided play.

Grades 1–3

Basic fitness, group games, relay activities, coordination drills, teamwork, following rules, and sportsmanship.

Grades 4–6

Structured physical activities, team games, leadership, endurance, discipline, skill practice, and healthy competition.

All Students

All students are expected to participate respectfully, follow instructions, wear appropriate clothing, and practice safety.

P.E. Schedule & Dress Expectations

Friday P.E. Focus

KTI may schedule P.E. and student physical activity on Fridays in a structured way that supports learning, order, and safe supervision.

Final class times should follow the school’s official weekly timetable.

P.E. Wear

Students should wear the approved P.E. jersey or school-approved activity clothing on assigned P.E. days. Clothing must be modest, neat, safe, and suitable for movement.

Dress-Down Days

Dress-down days must remain orderly and respectful. Students should not wear clothing that is unsafe, immodest, distracting, offensive, or unsuitable for a Christian school environment.

Lunch & Hydration

Students should be given proper time for lunch, rest, and water, especially on days with physical activity. P.E. should be supervised carefully to protect student health and safety.

Student Expectations

  • Respect: Students must respect teachers, classmates, opponents, and school property.
  • Safety: Students must follow instructions and avoid rough, careless, or dangerous behavior.
  • Participation: Students should make an honest effort and participate unless excused for health reasons.
  • Sportsmanship: Students must play fairly, avoid insults, accept correction, and encourage others.
  • Discipline: Fighting, bullying, pushing, mocking, and disorderly conduct are not acceptable.
  • Cleanliness: Students should return from physical activity neat, orderly, and ready for the rest of the school day.

Discipline and Growth

“Bodily training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things.”

1 Timothy 4:8

Parent Partnership

Parents and guardians help support student athletics by making sure children come to school prepared, wear the proper clothing, follow school rules, and practice respectful behavior.

Parents should inform the school office if a child has a medical condition, injury, or health concern that may affect participation in physical activity.
